


LSPA Regional Realignment, 2010
Throughout 2010, the Executive Council (EC) of the Louisiana School Psychological Association (LSPA) considered, voted, and approved the realignment of the current five LSPA Regions into a total of eight Regions. This realignment was presented to and reviewed with the membership during the most current LSPA Conference of November, 2010. The intent of this realignment:
- To align LSPA with the Louisiana Department of Education Regional Organization
- To create geographically meaningful and useful groups within LSPA
- To increase membership participation and involvement
The following list indicates the new regions and the parishes included within each region:
- Region I: Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles

Region II: East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston,
Point Coupe', St. Helena, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Washington, West
Baton Rouge, West Feliciana
- Region III: Ascension, Assumption, Lafourche, St. James, St. John the Baptist, Terrebonne, St. Mary
- Region IV: Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Martin, Vermilion
- Region V: Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Jefferson Davis
- Region VI: Avoyelles, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Sabine, Vernon, Winn
- Region VII: Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, Desoto, Red River, Webster
Nominations
were accepted for regions without current representation. Voting was
accomplished electronically and will be released through the main page
of our website:
