       Your supplemental funding is located in HB1, the Appropriation bill of the state operating budget for FY 05-06. Schedule 19   of the Department of Education, Agency: Subgrantee Assistance ; no. 681 .

       There was originally $399,856.00 in the bill listed in Education Initiatives Fund for 05-06.
       $422,500.00 additional state general funds were added in the Subgrantee Assistance fund portion for the 3rd phase of the $5,000 per each school psychologist stipend.
       The total appropriations for 05-06 is $840,000.00 .
       The money is sent to the Department of Education but is flow through funds to the local parish school boards to be distributed. The Department of Education provides the numbers. Currently they have 167 nationally certified psychologists listed for FY 04-05 and the department projects 168 will qualify in FY 06. Any left over funds at the end of the fiscal year are returned to the state general funds operating budget.

       HB1 has gone through the process without your funding being touched. It presently in a conference committee waiting to be concurred by the house.
