As some of you may be aware the LSPA - Salary supplement funds were originally frozen. The LSPA Lobbyist, Brenda Nolan, worked to have those funds released and allocated. The Speaker of the House, Representative Joe Salter was instrumental in seeing these funds released.

Please remind your fellow school psychologists who are receiving this supplement that the dues of LSPA members paid for the lobbyist to accomplish this as well as to establish a NCSP supplement. If they are not a member of LSPA, they should join since LSPA membership ($50 per year) is covered by one year of the $5000 supplement for the next 100 years. Ask them not to be a “freeloader” and join LSPA. For LSPA members, even though the November convention had to be cancelled, LSPA and it’s lobbyist are still working hard for your best interests.
