Trauma, Crisis, and Safety
This page is devoted to the development of knowledge and skills among school psychologists and other interested professionals. At first glance, trauma, threat assessment, school safety, and crisis may seem to be unrelated. The more that these issues are studied. the more it becomes apparent that trauma is frequently the precipitator of the other responses listed.. In fact the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) revision is delayed due to the debate about the forms nature of the traumas observed.
