Louisiana State University in Shreveport: Two (2) Assistant/Associate Professors in Psychology. LSPA Posting 11/16/2023- Until Position Filled

Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) is seeking individuals to fill two (2) tenure-track positions
in our Specialist in School Psychology (SSP) Program, effective August 2024. The SSP program is fully
approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), highlights both academic and
behavior/mental health competencies, and emphasizes a data-based decision-making model within a
multi-tiered system of supports. The 72-hr SSP program features a small cohort admission model,
primarily face-to-face instruction, and a student enrollment that represents the region’s diverse
population.


Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor in Psychology (Two Positions): Minimum qualifications
include a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in school psychology or a related field and
eligibility for licensure. Candidates who are A.B.D. may be considered.


Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning, as LSUS is a teaching
university. Teaching assignments will accommodate each candidate’s expertise and interests.
Candidates are expected to engage in university service while maintaining a scholarship record that
encourages student involvement in research. Competitive salary and benefits are commensurate with
